Down Syndrome Network – Our mission at DSNetwork is to educate, support and advocate for those in our community impacted by Down syndrome. Horses Help – Horses Help is a premier accredited therapeutic and recreational agency that serves the special needs population by providing activities to empower them to break through physical, cognitive and emotional barriers using a unique collaboration of horses and people within Arizona’s “Valley of the Sun”.

Arizona Disabled Sports- Arizona Disabled Sports offers two different types of programs which include adaptive opportunities for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Sports include archery, bowling, cycling, kayaking, soccer, swimming, track and field, basketball, and more!

SibLink – A network for indivduals (18 years and older) who have a sibling with a disability. They will provide a focus on advocacy, policy, service, and community. Please email Nikki at for more information.

Civitan Foundation — Civitan delivers tailored programs and services to meet the ever-changing needs of the children and adults we serve with developmental disabilities. They continue to expand their services to also include outreach, education and family support. Civitan provides safe, enriching, high quality programs that focus on education, nutrition & health, life skills, socialization, job training and respite for families and caregivers.

Detour Company Theater – Providing quality and authentic arts education and performance opportunities for adults with developmental and other challenges,  including deafness, blindness, and autism, through the magic and miracle of theatre.

Arizona Autism United– The mission of Arizona Autism United is to help as many local children and families as possible with individualized supports.They provide a variety of direct services includini speech therapy, ABA treatment, behavior coaching, parent training, social skills playgroups, respite care, and more. 

United Cerebral Palsy of Central Phoenix -UCP of Central Arizona provides comprehensive services to individuals with disabilities and their families by providing physical and developmental support as well as educational growth which is the foundation for independent living. “Life without Limits”.

Gigi’s Playhouse – An established series of Down Syndrome achievement centers. Serving children and adults of all ages, each Playhouse provides educational and therapeutic programs at no charge to families; and in a format that individuals with Down syndrome learn best. All programs aim to maximize self-confidence and empower individuals to achieve their greatest potential.

Dads 4 Special Kids (D4SK) -An organization dedicated to helping men that have a child with special needs in their lives. They provide an array of on-line resources, coupled with group activities, that include real life personal experiences from other men.

A-Chance-2-Play – Promotes athletic participation by aiding local athletic departments, youth sports organizations and special needs children to play.

Life Development Institute – Offers private residential, internationally recognized, and fully-accredited high school, college and career-focused programs for young adults with special education needs due to Learning Disabilities, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, and similar conditions.

Gompers – Provides a variety of services to individuals with special needs including a Private K-12 school, day training for adults, and employment services.

Cortney’s Place – Innovative full-time day programs for the special needs adult community that challenge, stimulate and excite individuals as they increase their independence and personal productivity.

Gateway Academy – A private K-12 school for twice gifted students with Asperger Syndrome. Gateway Academy offers students an academic curriculum that is challenging and structured; rich in its academic offerings, and nurturing in its approach to fostering personal growth, responsibility, and independence. The Gateway community: students, faculty, staff, and families, alike, work collaboratively to help students discover and develop their individual gifts and strengths, become self-advocates, and realize their full potential. A safe, thoughtfully prepared sensory sensitive environment encourages mutual trust, respect, and acceptance among those in its school community.

Lion’s Camp Tatiyee- Provides a residential summer camp experience in one-week sessions for individuals with a variety of physical and developmental disabilities.

Joni and Friends- A Christian organization that provides a variety of resources and services to individuals of all ages with a variety of disabilities. They also offer an annual family retreat and have a wheelchair ministry. Please donate your old wheelchairs, walkers, and canes!
